Don Hewitt´s death this week at 86, gives us a good opportunity for reviewing the record and profile of his "60 minutes" news and current affairs show. 60 minutes is a cocktail consisting of a mixture of "investigative reporting, human interest stories and pop-culture", contained in an atmosphere of elegance and good taste. As the L.A. Times comments: 60 minutes is "timeless and elegant", and impossible to compare with its competition. The presentation of news and current affairs with a clear, unbiased, viewpoint will remain in people´s memories for a long time.
